The count down has begun and I am getting a little nervous and very excited for my summer service adventure. I will try to blog while I am gone to keep all my friends and family posted on Navy ship life as time and computer access will allow.
I will be a part of the Indonesia rotation and will be gone for 5 weeks starting in July. I will be working as a nurse in the Operating Room. This past week we received our plane tickets to head on out to Indonesia. The trip consists of 22 hours flying and 30 hours altogether. That is a long time on an airplane! Beam me up Scottie!

This summer I will be serving on the USNS Mercy - a naval hospital ship with Latter-day Saint charities as a part of the Pacific Partnership 2010. This humanitarian project will provide medical, dental, veterinary and engineering services to people and communities in need in Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia and Timor Leste.
