1 Week to Go

One week left before heading to Indonesia. It seems like a dream. I have treated my clothing with permethrin to help ward off the mosquitoes - American mosquitoes love me - I'm hoping that those Indonesia mosquitoes don't find me as tasty! I soaked my clothing in this permethrin for 2 hours and then laid them out on the deck to dry for another 3 hours. Very interesting. I start the anti-malaria pills on Saturday. This definitely is not a cruise - I'll be leaving my formal gowns and swimsuit at home - instead I have a pair of boots and 7 shirts all exactly alike. I think it will be easy to figure out what to wear each day. I looked at the humidity in Indonesia - around 85%. Georgia is about 55% humidity right now. So yes there are more humid places than the South. I'm thinking adventure. Ready or not it's almost time to go.

  1. Maybe you'll have some cool ocean breezes or A/C on the ship if you're lucky. Bo just got back from 10 days in the Phillipines. It was 95 degrees and 95% humidity. Most humid place he's ever been in the world. Regardless, you'll have a fabulous time because of what you're doing! Way to go, girl! -cousin Tori
