Today they had all the NGO's and departments come up to the flight deck to take group photos with Commodore Franchetti. I also got one with one of my nurse friends, Linda, from Blairsville, Georgia. Us southern girls need to stick together! For a brief moment I felt like perhaps I would be able to stroll along the Lido deck after lunch and look at pictures in the photo shop. Of course there is no Lido deck and no photo shop. If I attempted to walk around in flip flops I would probably injure myself. My hiking boots work so much better. I think the Helicopter tied up to the flight deck was way cooler than a Lido deck any day. We are being escorted as we go by an Indonesian Destroyer which is always by our side. We were on deck for about an hour taking pictures and enjoying the sunshine. Quite the contrast as tonight is the first storm of the trip. The seas are rough and the rain is coming down. I don't feel too much of a difference in sailing as this is a big ship.
